Find each customer by the context that matters.

Organize WhatsApp Web chats with contact labels for customer interests and service needs. Create tags for interests, customer types or service needs, and apply several to the same contact. Search by name, check assignment counts and keep categories current so the next conversation starts with useful context rather than guesswork.

Requires account access, access to the company CRM and a server connection. Tag assignment requires a contact linked to a WhatsApp conversation. Team permissions can restrict tag management or require the Pro key. Native integration depends on WhatsApp Business and the capabilities available in the current WhatsApp Web session.

Keep customer context alongside your pipeline

Tags complement Kanban stages with information that can overlap, such as interests and service needs. The company tag catalog and conversation assignments are stored on the server.

  • Create and rename color-coded tags for recognizable categories.

  • Assign or remove tags per contact and check assignment counts.

  • Import WhatsApp Business labels when they are available in your session.

  1. 01

    Define your categories

Open Tags, create a tag, enter a name of up to 40 characters and choose a color. Use short names your team can recognize.

  2. 02

    Classify a contact

Choose a contact and tag, then confirm the assignment. From a Kanban card, the contact is already selected. Remove an assignment when it no longer applies.

  3. 03

    Maintain the catalog

Search by name, review counts and edit categories. Select tags to delete together, or import labels that are available from WhatsApp Business.

Example: a furniture shop

A shop creates “Sofas” and “Delivery to arrange” tags. A contact can have both while their card stays in the quotation stage. Once delivery is agreed, the team removes that tag and keeps the sofa interest to guide the next conversation.

Can I use tags without WhatsApp Business?

Yes, as CRM categories. Creating, changing or assigning native labels depends on WhatsApp Business and the features available in the session. Changes may not appear in WhatsApp even when the tag is saved in the CRM.

What are the naming rules?

Names must not be empty and support up to 40 characters. Whitespace is normalized and duplicate names are compared without regard to case. If a name already exists, the existing tag is reused.

What happens when I remove or delete a tag?

Removing it from a contact only removes that assignment. Deleting it from the catalog removes the tag and its assignments, including in bulk deletion. Native deletion is attempted for linked labels, while native lists managed by the Kanban mirror are preserved.

Where is the data stored, and does tagging start a campaign?

The server stores the catalog per company and assignments per WhatsApp conversation. Changes require server access. Assigning a tag organizes the CRM; it does not automatically start a campaign. Set up any sending separately in the relevant feature.
